⁶ And Joseph died, all his brothers, and all that generation. ⁷ But the children of Israel were fruitful and increased abundantly, they multiplied and grew exceedingly mighty; and the land was filled with them.

⁸ Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who did not know Joseph. ⁹ And he said to his people, “Look, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we; ¹⁰ come, let us deal shrewdly with them, lest they multiply, and it happen, in the event of war, that they also join our enemies and fight against us, and so go up out of the land.” ¹¹ Therefore they set taskmasters over them to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh supply cities, Pithom and Raamses. ¹² But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were in dread of the children of Israel. ¹³ So the Egyptians made the children of Israel serve with RIGOUR. – (exodus 1:6- 13)

While doing Bible study a few days ago the Holy Spirit spoke to me. I was in Exodus 1 about to move to chap. 2 when He asked me to read it again, and name any themes I saw in it. So I re-read and named these: xenophobia (fear and hatred of foreigners), national paranoia (also known as ‘hysteria’), public policy in the areas of immigration, economics, labour, slavery, and abortion, and last of all the taskmasters. This is how I study scripture; I don’t just take it at face value, I ask the Spirit of God to engage my mind in a thinking exercise, allowing Him to challenge me in what I read so that I can go levels deeper in the text and extract what the heart and mind of God was in writing it. 

Here is an overview and paraphrase of Exodus 1 followed by what the Lord said to me concerning the nation of America.

Genesis ends with a miraculous and joyful reunion. Joseph the slave has his life miraculously turned around by God, and is reunited with his family by equally miraculous means. He gets to enjoy the last years of his father Jacob, forgives his brothers, and basically sets up the Israelites in Egypt with Pharaoh’s blessing. But with time Joseph and the old generation die, and as is the way of countries Egypt gets a new king with a new way of thinking. He doesn’t know that Hebrews once saved Egypt from extinction, and he doesn’t care what brought them to his country. “They’re too many now” – that’s all he knows. The Bible says the foreigners (read immigrants) increased until the land was choked with them, until their numbers threatened the Egyptians and made them insecure in their own nation. The king feared that leaving the Israelites as free men would allow them to join other nations in a war against Egypt, so even though there was at that time no proof the Hebrews were anything but shepherds (they were not a war-faring people as can be clearly seen even years later when they left Egypt, they raised animals and had to be taught by God how to become soldiers)- in the king’s imagination these tall, muscular men were the next WWE John Cenas, just waiting to tear his country down and stab him in the back.

This moved Pharaoh to call an urgent staff meeting to formulate public policy, economic policy, and labour policy which quickly led to– slavery. First he took away Hebrew ability to move freely across borders, he locked them into Goshen (the area they were freely given when they first arrived- we can see they were locked in there because even when the plagues were going on the Bible refers to it as “their area” which God treated differently from the rest of the country). Next he set up ‘overseers’ over them; as ‘overseer’ was used in the slavery era, so were these men- think of the guy with the whip, the whiskey, and the wickedness in slavery movies. The word ‘taskmaster’ means someone appointed to inflict, control and execute cruel labour and hardship over others- that’s what this Egyptian taskforce hired to monitor, punish, run labour and control the Hebrews did. These people had total control over the Israelites, they whipped them, said anything they felt like to them. They could enter into their homes day or night without a warrant, take any of the women and children and do whatever they wanted with them. They were a terror to Israel, and some of the best and strongest Israelites were taken to become overseers to help the Egyptians do a real psychological warfare on Israel- by teaching their own sons to monitor and break them. America also did this during the slavery years, using slave against slave to break the people and sow distrust and fear into the entire group of them.

Next Pharaoh made specialised jobs for his new slaves- ‘rigorous work’ making bricks, mixing and pouring cement, doing back-breaking construction of entire cities (Exodus 1:11) and labouring at field-work (read/: every conceivable dirty job in Egypt that Egyptians didn’t want to do). This is the work that illegal (and many legal) immigrants currently do in the United States. ‘Rigorous work’ means highly tough, exhausting labour, the kind of work that rapidly depletes human energy and inflicts grievous harm to the body over very short periods of time. As a result, Exodus 1:14 says the lives of the Israelites became “bitter” because of repeatedly doing this type of work as well as enduring nationwide political control and restricted living conditions, but Pharaoh wasn’t done yet.

He went after their children. 

Exodus 1:15-22 describes the abortion policy of Pharaoh- he called the midwives and told them to murder all baby boys right out of their mothers wombs. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the first recorded example of “out-of-womb abortions”, the law that New York, New Jersey and a few other U.S. states just passed in Jan. 2019. Out-of-womb abortion is exactly what it sounds like: waiting for a healthy baby to be born, and killing it as comes out or right after it comes out of its mother. There is no need to discuss how God the Father who made that baby, feels about watching it die that way. 😐

The midwives agreed in Pharaoh’s presence to do this but refused to do it in practice; they lied that they couldn’t reach Israelite women in time to murder their sons. So what did Pharaoh do instead? He skipped using these female “doctors” and told all his people- “MURDER ANY BABY BOY YOU SEE.” I hope this is sinking in- this man told all Egyptians: “Every Egyptian now has to right to kill any boy child they see“, whether it’s a Hebrew neighbour’s newborn, the woman who cleans your kitchen, the woman who walks your llama, whoever it is- if she is pregnant and you’ve been watching her get bigger and bigger, then she has a baby, if you ever find her with that baby and it looks male to you, kill it. If it’s a girl, leave it alone. This is national abortion policy ladies and gentlemen, straight from the top, and one of America’s many crimes against the Lord Jesus Christ. By the harshness of this law it is easy to understand why Moses mother hid him so long- she was afraid for him to end up like the rest.

Let’s look at everything closely here. Public and economic policy can be seen anytime laws, rules and regulations are implemented that affect either all groups in a country, or one or more specific groups in that country. The more targeted a policy is, the more obvious it is that laws are being made or changed specifically to torment (or in some cases benefit) one or more particular groups. In this case Pharaoh used the laws of Egypt to create a vice that took away the right of free movement, congregation, ownership of property, right to choose one’s labour, freedom to leave the country, right to life, and even the right to their own bodies, from the Hebrews. The tightness of these laws stole the Israelites breath away, coupled with the overseers watching their every movement this political climate formed what’s called: THE TASKMASTERS. He stripped them down to nothing using national hysteria.

National hysteria arises anytime leaders of a nation imagine A or B will happen to them even though there’s no or little indication it actually will. They whip up the political and economic machinery of the nation into a frenzy and bait dominant members of that nation to come on board and support the hysteria. All you need to do is switch on any news channel to know that America LIVES in a state of national hysteria- the trillions of debt, government shut-downs, illegal immigration, scandals, the farcial ‘experts’ dissecting pointless minutiae 26 hours a day… the entire world is America’s bogeyman, and she has to defend herself from everyone at any cost. Even unborn babies. 

As I presented my findings from the text to the Holy Spirit and laid them out as I have here, I wasn’t thinking about the USA. I was doing a Bible study with my Father, and was myself surprised to see so many new things I never saw before in such familiar text. However He said to me- “America has ground the faces of the poor. She has driven their faces into the mud, she has taken the clothing off their backs and shamed them. She has incarcerated the nursing mother and child, and driven them into pens like cattle where they rotted as prisoners for many months. She has separated the infant from its mother, the young man from his father, and driven the immigrant into hiding in fear for their lives. She has taken bread from the mouths of foreigners, yet in My Word I said ‘Do not harm the stranger’ and ‘Do the foreigner among you no harm.’ She has flushed life from the wombs of the careless; she has shed innocent blood that cries to Me from every corner of her borders. This nation has greatly grieved and wounded my Spirit by continuously doing all that is considered abomination in My sight. These crimes of Exodus 1, America is guilty of all of them. It is for these reasons you see before you that the land is judged. No more shall My hand rest upon this nation; she will never be great again.”

This is the word of the Lord.

I know many people will disagree with this word, and I feel bad for them. It’s not personal though, I just feel bad for anyone who hears the word of the Lord but doesn’t believe it because they want to stay clinging to their own personal preferences. I live on a very different trajectory now- I try as much as possible to keep my eyes off what the world is concerned with and hear what Jesus is concerned with. As a long-time Christian I know patriotism is simply one more thing that will burn on the altar of the End Times. Most Americans will refuse this but… it’s true.

The red, white and blue will be just another casualty of the approach of the Messiah, a wall knocked down not only by Jesus but also by the Antichrist. Wow… my pastor preached about the Antichrist today with boldness, it was incredible. How many pastors nowadays will BLUNTLY tell his church: “You guys better learn how to follow Jesus in the deeper water because the Antichrist is approaching. When he comes on the scene the noise of national tumult and hysteria will fill the whole earth- you better know how to discern the voice of Jesus out of every lie by then, otherwise it will be impossible to follow Him to safety if you don’t learn how to follow now.” Impeccable logic I thought, my pastor is a lawyer too so… who knows! 😀

But to stay on topic. It simply won’t be possible to keep flying your own little state, regional or country flag when times of persecution begin- the Antichrist is not coming to solidify borders for humanity after all. He is coming to MELT THEM. He is coming to arrange this entire earth into TEN SECTORS, ONLY TEN, the wise who read fine print on this blog will remember seeing that- “The Kingdom of Iron and Clay”; “Desolations are Determined, Pt 7”–  use the search box at the bottom of this post, look for those two notes and read them well. 

“And there arose ten kings who cede their power to the beast.” The entire earth will be portioned into massive ‘blocs’ and given over to ten leaders; those leaders will as one man take their power, authority and all the people under them, and pledge allegiance not to the United States, not to Saudi Arabia, or India, or Sweden, but to the Antichrist. There will be one world, one evil president, and we as Christians will be here to see it happen. God will have nations of completely opposite backgrounds helping one another as the church, hiding together, on the run together, no-one will care if you’re from Amsterdam or Rwanda in those days- life will be very rare and very precious, faith will be under severe fire of oppression, and your fierce battle cry for your favourite political party will matter at exactly 0%. So I suggest spending more time getting to know people who aren’t like you at church picnics, because you don’t get to vote on who you end up next to in the End Times.

What do you mean by crushing My people and grinding the faces of the poor?” says the Lord GOD of hosts. – (Isaiah 3:15)

You must not exploit or oppress a foreign resident, for you yourselves were foreigners in the land of Egypt. – (Exodus 22:21)

‘And if a stranger dwells with you in your land, you shall not mistreat him. You must treat the foreigner living among you as native-born and love him as yourself, for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am the LORD your God.… – (Leviticus 19:33- 34)

Vindicate the weak and fatherless; Do justice to the afflicted and destitute. – (Psalm 82:3)

By faith Moses when he was born was hidden for three months by his parents, because they saw he was a beautiful child; and they were not afraid of the king’s harsh law. – (Hebrews 11:23)
